1/2" Round Spacers (M-110)
1/2" round spacers are unthreaded cylindrical spacers with a clearance bore, sized to hold a 1/2" gap between PCBs, panels, and chassis surfaces. Spacers have no threading in the body; a bolt or screw passes straight through and does the clamping. At 1/2", this is the tallest spacer in the standard range, with enough clearance for taller through-hole components, connectors, and cable routing beneath a mounted board.
These spacers are used in PCB mounting, panel spacing, and light mechanical assemblies where a simple through-bolt configuration is preferred over threaded standoffs.

Round Spacers vs. Threaded Standoffs
A round spacer occupies the height gap while a fastener passes through its clearance bore and threads into a nut or tapped hole at the other end. No threads in the spacer body, no tool contact at the spacer itself. It's a faster, simpler assembly than using threaded standoffs.Threaded standoffs are the right call when each mounting point needs its own independent fastening, or when individual boards need to be removed without disturbing the rest of the assembly. For a single bolt controlling the full height gap, a spacer is the more straightforward solution.

- Available in aluminum and stainless steel
- Consistent body dimensions for repeatable height control
- Accommodates screws up to size 10
Applications for 1/2" Round Spacers
- PCB mounting for taller component or connector clearance
- Panel and chassis spacing in power supplies and control systems
- Light mechanical assemblies requiring simple height separation
- Electrically insulating spacers between conductive surfaces (nylon)
- Prototyping setups requiring the maximum standard spacer height
Selection Guidance
- Spacer vs. Standoff: Use a spacer when a single through-bolt controls the height gap. If each mounting point needs independent threaded fastening, use a hex or round female standoff instead.
- Why 1/2"?: This is the tallest option in the standard range. It suits assemblies with tall through-hole components, connector bodies, or cable bundles that need clearance beneath the board. If less height works, check the 3/8" (M-109) or 5/16" (M-108) options first.
- Material Selection: Aluminum is lightweight and features a high strength-to-weight ratio. Stainless steel is corrosions resistant and very high-strength.
- Clearance Bore: Verify bore diameter against your fastener size before ordering. Full dimensional data is in the product listing.
