1/4" Round Spacers (M-107)
1/4" round spacers are unthreaded cylindrical spacers with a clearance bore, sized to hold a precise 1/4" gap between PCBs, panels, and chassis surfaces. A bolt passes through the body and threads into a nut or tapped hole at the other end. The 1/4" body length is one of the most common spacer sizes in PCB assembly. It gives enough clearance for component leads and solder joints while keeping the board close to its mounting surface.
Round Spacers vs. Threaded Standoffs
Spacers and standoffs both control height, but they do so in different ways. A spacer relies on a through-bolt for all the clamping force. The bolt passes through the clearance bore and fastens at each end of the assembly. There are no threads to engage in the spacer body, which makes installation quick.Threaded standoffs are the better choice when each mounting point needs its own independent fastening, or when boards need to be removed without disturbing the rest of the assembly. For single-bolt configurations, a spacer keeps things simple.

Selection Guidance
- Spacer vs. Standoff: Use a spacer when a single bolt controls the full height gap. For designs where each mounting point needs its own threaded connection, a female or male-female standoff is the better fit.
- Sizing: 1/4" is a standard, widely stocked size that works in most basic PCB mounting applications. If component height or connector clearance requires more room, check the 3/8" (M-109) or 1/2" (M-110) options. For less clearance, the 3/16" (M-106) spacer may be the right call.
- Material Selection: Aluminum is lightweight and features a high strength-to-weight ratio. Stainless steel is corrosions resistant and very high-strength.
- Clearance Bore: Verify bore diameter against your fastener size before ordering. Full dimensional data is in the product listing.
